Hello lovely people! Welcome to the first ever newsletter for espresso 19, where you will be able to find information on the upcoming events – monthly pop ups, updates on new ones, and more – as well as what’s happening behind the scenes with me, what’s to come for the business, all that fun stuff! I’m aiming for this to be a monthly newsletter, releasing roughly mid-month (so please hold me accountable if I don’t send out anything!). I welcome any thoughts or comments on what you’d like to see me cover in this newsletter.
Espresso 19 @ Deaf Spotlight for 2026
First, we’re fast approaching 2026, and with that, a new list of dates for the monthly pop-ups at Deaf Spotlight’s office. I will do my best to stick to these dates, but as events come up and things change, I might need to update or cancel. Fear not, I will always post the most current info on my Instagram page, @espresso19co, and in the newsletter if there’s any advance change to the dates.

Currently on drip
E19 has been on a bit of hiatus for December, and I’ve been using that time to familiarize myself with the LaMarzocco Linea Mini espresso machine and the coffee grinder. The steps for making coffee are simple, but dialing in (fiddling with the settings) to get everything just right is not as easy. I had wanted to start using it at the HSDC Holiday Bazaar event in November, but I was nowhere near feeling comfortable serving people with what came out of it, so I decided to put that on hold and do more at-home practice. My customers deserve great-tasting coffee, so I will suffer through mediocre shots of espresso in search of the perfect shot. I will definitely have it present at events at some point in 2026! I’m also still learning how this machine steams milk, aiming for the perfect microfoam that allows for the fancy latte art you see all over social media. (I’ve barely managed a heart, once. I have some ways to go before I can do those fern-like swirls.)
What’s Brewing
Since I started e19, I’ve kept things pretty simple in terms of flavoring for the drinks – white sugar or honey syrup, with the recent addition of caramel at the end of this year. One of my long-term goals is to have several options for syrups, made in-house. I will be introducing some new flavors in the next year, so be on the look out for that! They’ll likely be seasonal, apart from the honey syrup. They’ll be things like peppermint, lavender, pumpkin spice (with actual spices), and so on.
One thing in the works right now is a form on my website that will allow people to hire me to provide e19 services at their events – conferences, all-day business meetings, weddings, etc. It would essentially be an open bar, but with coffee and tea. I think I’d enjoy that kind of service, just taking orders and making drinks without having to handle money at the same time.

Closing
I’m really looking forward to what 2026 will bring for espresso 19, and am excited to see how the business and I grow from the experience. Please feel free to share this with people, and let people know about what I’m doing here!
